These therapeutic modalities can be combined or conducted separately to assist the individual in reaching a relaxed and meditative state. During this state, the therapist assists in the process of the individual’s self-healing and clarity. Imagery may be utilized in aiding the client’s focus on the desired state and may be recorded for future reference. After a series of sessions, the individual is able to practice this technique on his/her own using the recorded tools.
These techniques may used in conjunction with other modalities such as massage. They are most beneficial for stress management, sleeplessness, elimination of negative habits such as smoking or overeating, pain management and decreasing blood pressure.
