Recreational Therapy

Recreational therapists treat the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of their clients using therapeutic recreation. Therapists help their clients reduce depression, stress, and anxiety. In addition, they recover basic motor functioning and reasoning abilities and build confidence to socialize more effectively. Therapists work with clients to develop coping skills. The objective is to create an individual treatment plan to include recreation activities such as arts and crafts, animals, sports, games, dance, drama, music, and community outings.

Benefits of Therapeutic Recreation
